Arrest Made in Exeter Hospital Hepatitis C Outbreak
Federal officials have announced that David Matthew Kwiatkowski has been arrested in connection with the hepatitis C outbreak at Exeter Hospital. Kwiatkowsky had worked as a medical technician at Exeter Hospital during the time in question and enough evidence had been gathered to make an arrest and charge him with obtaining controlled drugs by fraud and tampering with a consumer product.
According to the Boston Globe, ““The evidence gathered to date points irrefutably to Kwiatkowski as the source of the hepatitis C outbreak at Exeter Hospital,” US Attorney John P. Kacavas said in the release. “With his arrest, we have eliminated the menace this ‘serial infector’ posed to public health and safety.”
