Court Awards $4.2 Million in Surgical Error Malpractice Case
A 58-year-old man who lost the use of his right should due to a surgical error has been awarded $4.2 million by a Connecticut Superior Court.
Gregory Leigh lost the use his left shoulder after Dr. Daniel Schwartz damaged Leigh’s spinal accessory nerve in a December 2008 surgery, according to a lawsuit. The award came after a two week medical malpractice trial.
