Dental Procedure Lands Patient in Coma
When 24-year-old Kristen Tavares went to her dentist to have four wisdom teeth extract, she couldn’t have imagined that the routine procedure would leave her comatose and her family devastated. During the extraction procedure, Tavares suffered cardiac arrest and slipped into a coma. Presently, she is in a semi-comatose state and is being fed by tubes. It is not clear what caused the cardiac arrest.
