Exeter Hospital Employee Confirmed with Hepatitis C
New Hampshire’s health officials have confirmed that one of the four persons who contracted the hepatitis C virus from the Exeter Hospital’s cardiac catheterization lab is a hospital employee. Health officials were quick to note that there is no reason to suspect this employee is the cause or source of the liver damaging virus outbreak. At this time, four people have been confirmed with hepatitis C and as many as 650 others may have been exposed to the liver-damaging virus.
