Exeter Hospital Hepatitis C Victims
Over the weekend, we learned four more people have been confirmed with hepatitis C. Those who’ve contracted the virus are related to the recent hepatitis C outbreak at the cardiac catheterization lab at Exeter Hospital. Hundreds of people are still anxiously awaiting the results of their tests. Still others have not been tested. This waiting period is agonizing for those who’ve been tested, their families and loved ones. Presently, NH health officials are trying to determine the cause of the outbreak. Patch.com is reporting that these same health officials are investigating the possibility that the outbreak is related to a drug-abusing hospital employee. The hospital is providing very little information so those who may be affected are increasingly and understandably anxious.
