Hepatitis C Outbreak at Exeter Hospital to be Investigated by US Attorney
The US Attorney’s Office has announced that it will join the investigation into how a hepatitis C outbreak occurred at Exeter Hospital’s cardiac catheterization lab. In announcing the decision, the US Attorney noted that the FDA and the FDA will also join the investigation in order to determine if the investigation will be classified as a criminal or civil matter.
While there are still many tests that have not been returned, 20 people have thus far tested positive with the virus that causes chronic liver problems and lifetime health issues. Our office has filed Exeter Hospital hepatitis C lawsuits and we expect to continue filing them as concerned citizens call our office.
