Medical Malpractice Awareness Group Launches Website
An advocacy group for victims of medical malpractice has launched a website www.medicalmalpracticeawareness.com to “educate, spread the word, and prevent” further medical malpractice.
In a July 17th press release the group stated, “The ultimate goal of this initiative is to improve healthcare, allow patients better access, decrease insurance premiums and provide patient safety. It is vital that this initiative ends up with one national agency responsible for all licensing, standards, and regulations as it relates to the medical institution. Medical Malpractice Awareness has been created to help increase awareness and to recruit victims of medical negligence or their loved ones while promoting an environment that fosters a community of healing.” While it is not our place to endorse or support any particular advocacy group, an increased awareness of the ongoing problem of medical malpractice in our society will hopefully lead to reform and safer medical practices.
