New Hospital Ratings Report Published
A 2010 Department of Health and Human Services report projects that surgical mistakes, infections, failures to diagnose, and other medical mistakes contribute to 180,000 deaths each year. Another 1.4 million Americans are seriously injured as a result of a stay in the hospital. This is just counting Medicare patients!
Consumer Reports has just published a survey of hospitals nationwide. In their report, they rate hospitals in every state, including New Hampshire hospitals. The report may be found in the August 2012 issue.
